  1. Thank you so much for these great tutorials! I learned about the new things in version 2 along with some features I didn’t know were in version 1.

  2. I second that notion Kim, I just upgraded to Pro and these tutorials are on point. Sherm is a god send!

  3. By God! I just jumped into this program and MAN was I lost; even youtube was no help (unless I wanted to learn how practical this program was).

Thank you for the interface lessons; I can sit and learn now.

  4. Hi Kim, Alex and Erix…I’m SOOOO glad to hear that these tutorials helped! Thanks for letting me know 🙂 –Sherm

  5. pure awsomness thank a lot Sherm for doing such great thing.much appreciated.

  6. Thank u!…(n,n)

  7. Thank you for these tutorials! It’s so much better to have an artist explain the features (and especially one who is a natural teacher) than a software technician, or marketing rep.
As a freelancer, I’ve always used PS or Sketchbook Pro. But understanding the ins and outs of SB Pro, I have been able to get a job with a studio that requires a rough animatic from storyboard artists.

  8. Hi Tim…thanks for letting me know! When I started using Toon Boom, it was a bit tough to get used to, and I made these tutorials to make it easier for fellow storyboard artists. So I really love hearing that it has helped you out 🙂 –Sherm

  9. Hi, Thank you for your tutorials.I would like to start my own storyboarding business. I have toon boom storyboard pro 2 service pack pack 2. Do you have to upgrade to 4? thanks or any version can work once you can get the job done. I haven’t seen them upgrade much. Thanks bro

  10. Hi Tariq — I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the videos! Version 4 has a TON of new features…especially the addition of bitmap-based art. The new bitmap layers have totally improved the way I work. Version 4 also includes all the 3D capabilities, which is helpful even if you donb’t work in 3D because you can import 3D reference models to help your drawing and staging.

  11. thanks again for your kind response 😀 I’ll upgrade sooner or later. I have storyboard pro3d as well. Do you think its wise if your now starting off freelancing, you can create a new style of characters and address them, if you’re looking to storyboards for advertisements and music videos? Thanks In advance, Tariq

  12. Hi Sherm!
My brother helped me bag a copy of Toonboon Storyboard Pro, and finding your videos on navigating the interface is a godsend. Thank you!

  13. That’s great, Louise…I’m sure glad to know that the videos are so helpful 🙂 Thanks for letting me know! –Sherm
